Friends on the Georgia Coast and beyond, climate change and sea level rise is real! And it affects all of us and it has no boundaries. Coastal communities all along Georgia's one hundred mile coast have experienced in real time a vanishing shoreline, flooding, and extreme weather events like hurricanes as well as the sweltering heat year after year.
It's going to take all of us - individual people, communities, institutions, and governments - working together to address this national and global crisis.
The Susie King Taylor Women's Institute and Ecology Center was proud to join Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Dr. Kim Cobb, and Sam Waterston to address this critical issue. Watch their conversation here from Senator Whitehouse's Facebook page.
